The Vatican newspaper devoted the most prominent article in its September 5 edition to what it described as “villages of hope”: six temporary villages built for Cambodians displaced by the 2025 Thailand-Cambodia conflict.
“In Cambodia, thousands of people displaced by the war with Thailand are waiting to return to their home areas,” the newspaper reported. “In the meantime, they have started living again.”
