The Patriarch of Venice expressed his sorrow after Veneto (map) became the fourth Italian region to approve assisted suicide.
Patriarch Francesco Moraglia expressed “great concern for fragile and lonely people, that is, for people who face old age and its epilogue not being able to count on effective human and emotional accompaniment and support.”
