I have watched with great interest the happenings of the Dicastery of the Causes of Saints in anticipation that a current Servant of God will be advanced and named Venerable. As I’ve kept my eye to news from Rome, I’ve learned that two new Venerables connected to the United States have been advanced: Servant of God Fr. Edward Flanagan, founder of Boys Town in Nebraska, and a Carmelite Sister.
