Archbishop Paul Coakley of Oklahoma City, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (pictured with President Donald Trump at the White House on Jan. 12, 2026) on March 1 called for a return to dialogue and peace amid escalating conflict with Iran.

The USCCB president called for the protection of innocent lives and asked for the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace, in his statement Sunday.
