This Apostolic Letter, Drawing New Maps of Hope, was promulgated on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Declaration Gravissimum educationis (On Christian Education) of the Second Vatican Council. In it, Pope Leo emphasizes the importance of a truly Catholic education, and of the Church’s mission to educate, for the good of all, both naturally and supernaturally.
