The faithful pray for Pope Leo XIV, on the occasion of his hospitalization, at Gemelli University Hospital, presided over by Cardinal Baldassare Reina, vicar general of the Diocese of Rome, on Oct. 13, 2026.

The Holy See Press Office confirmed Tuesday evening that the nodule removed during Pope Leo XIV’s surgery was cancerous.
