The relics of the Holy Crib in the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major will be temporarily moved to a side chapel closer to the faithful, during the restoration of the reliquary and niche in which the relics are normally placed.
The relics—five thin pieces of sycamore wood—will return to their normal location on Christmas Eve.
