The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) published “Examination of Conscience: Loving Our Neighbors in the Public Square.”
The two-page document, posted on the USCCB website on September 23, includes an opening Scripture reading and prayer, five questions (or groups of questions), and a closing prayer. The examen begins:
What stories from my community have left an impression on me and led me to ask, “What can I do to change this?” Where have I been called to action? What issues or injustices have I felt drawn to work on in my community?
