Relics of St. Martin of Tours were stolen from St. Martin’s Church in Neuss, Germany, during a recent break-in.
The German bishops’ news agency reported that the perpetrator smashed a pane of glass near the altar, injuring himself and leaving traces of his blood on the altar. The vandal then stole the relics and a missal; the missal was later found under a car.
