Pope Leo XIV received Bishop Rudolf Voderholzer of Regensburg, a critic of the Church in Germany’s Synodal Way, on January 10.
Over the past four months, Pope Leo has met with several German bishops, including Archbishops Udo Bentz (Paderborn), Stefan Hesse (Hamburg), Reinhard Marx (Munich and Freising), and Bishops Stephan Ackermann (Trier), Bertram Meier (Augsburg), Stefan Oster (Passau), and Heiner Wilmer (Hildesheim), according to the report.
