Rome – A classical guitar concert was organized in a church in the heart of Rome to raise funds for projects supported by the Pontifical Mission Societies. The event took place on Saturday, November 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Church of San Giuseppe dei Falegnami in the Imperial Fora .
The concert featured four guitarists , young musicians who have already accumulated extensive concert experience and recognition in national competitions.
The four musicians appeared both as soloists and in chamber ensembles, offering the audience a musical journey through the centuries: from the Baroque to 19th-century Romanticism, including a repertoire inspired by Segovia, a tribute to the great guitar school of the 20th century.
Maestro Marco Fusco also participated in the concert with his students.
Admission was free, with the opportunity to support the initiatives and projects of the Pontifical Mission Societies through voluntary donations.
The concert was sponsored by the Office for Missionary Cooperation among the Churches of the Vicariate of Rome, directed by Father Giulio Albanese, a Comboni missionary.
