Cardinal Kevin Farrell, 71, retains his post as Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. The Camerlengo (Chamberlain) heads the Apostolic Camera, which administers the temporal goods of the Holy See during a papal vacancy. The previous Camerlengo, Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, died last July 5.
